Choose the shape before the details
A wrapped bouquet gives you a tall, gathered silhouette with visible paper folds and a ribbon. Try it when you want the flowers to feel like a little bunch handed to someone.
A basket gives the arrangement a wider base. The maker offers a natural wicker basket with a handle and a low ivory keepsake basket. Try rounded flowers such as hydrangeas with a few contrasting stems, then adjust the arrangement in the preview.
You can switch between bouquet and basket in Style without rewriting your message. Switching changes the flower arrangement to fit the container; use Undo if you prefer the previous version.
Keep the palette easy to read
Start with a color the recipient likes, then choose a lighter companion or a contrasting accent. A blue hydrangea, ivory flowers and a little greenery make one possible starting point. Pink hydrangeas and roses give you another.
For a warmer picture, try peach tulips or ranunculus alongside a sunflower. Leave some space around the largest flower heads so the details remain visible in a small phone preview.
Let the occasion guide you, not limit you

For a quiet gesture, a few flowers and a short, direct message may feel right. For a celebration, try a fuller basket and a brighter palette. The recipient’s taste matters more than following a fixed rule.
Give the flowers your own meaning
The flower descriptions and quantity prompts in the maker are writing ideas, not universal rules. Flower and color associations vary between people and cultures.
If a particular flower reminds you of a shared memory, say so in your note. You do not need a symbolic reason for every stem.
